The challenge
Cocoa Black is a chocolate lover’s dream. Their artisan chocolate shop & chocolate school is a key landmark in the picturesque Scottish village of Peebles.
But we saw a chance to make their website even sweeter, helping them to reach a wider audience so it wasn’t just the lucky locals that got to taste their delicious treats.
The Objective
Our focus was to make their website easier for customers to use & optimise it so they could sell more of their boxed chocolates & chocolate bars.
The Approach
We ran a ecommerce conversion rate optimisation review, using behavioural analytics tools & reviewing customer journeys to discover how customers were using their website & pinpoint the bottlenecks that could be stopping them from buying.
Using this data, we created a plan to improve their website, including:
- A brand new homepage
- Refining category & campaign pages,
- Improved product pages
- Smoother checkout process
We shared our digital marketing expertise to help them redesign their website. We made sure their best-selling & high-value products were easy to find, to help boost sales.
The results
Our project was a big success with our client seeing an 82% leap in conversion (from 1.92% – 3.49%). This helped Cocoa Black boost their revenue through sales of their boxed chocolates (192%) & chocolate bars (162%).
